During my tenure of over a year and a half at Tryano, I undertook a comprehensive web redesign project that encompassed multiple crucial aspects of the user journey. This redesign involved enhancing various key pages, including the Homepage, Category Landing Page (CLP), Product Detail Page (PDP), Product Listing Page (PLP), and checkout process, among others.

Introduction

I spearheaded a redesign initiative for Tryano's Product Detail Page (PDP), leveraging data insights provided by the client. Recognizing usability challenges such as navigation difficulties and lack of visual appeal, I prioritized enhancing user experience. Through modernization and strategic design adjustments, including improved information hierarchy and streamlined navigation, I aimed to align the PDP with Tryano's brand identity while ensuring seamless progression through the shopping journey.

In my capacity as a UX/UI designer, I embarked on the task of revamping the bag journey within our e-commerce platform, aiming to bolster user experience and drive up conversion rates. I initiated the process by immersing myself in user feedback and analyzing behavior patterns to pinpoint pain points and obstacles existing within the current bag journey. Through conversations with customers, I gained valuable insights into their frustrations and expectations, forming a solid foundation for the redesign.

To provide a clear direction for the redesign, I established well-defined objectives that revolved around elevating the user experience and amplifying conversion rates. The focal point was simplifying the journey while motivating users to seamlessly complete their purchases.

With a strategic approach, I streamlined the design of the bag page. The overarching objective was to declutter the page and ensure that essential information such as item details, costs, and next steps were presented intuitively and comprehensibly.

In a bid to minimize friction and enhance user guidance, I strategically positioned prominent "Checkout" and "Place Order" buttons. This strategic placement aimed to eliminate the need for users to hunt for vital action buttons, thereby compelling them to move forward with their transactions.

Recognizing the prevalence of mobile shopping, I diligently ensured that the redesigned bag journey was fully optimized for responsiveness across diverse screen sizes, thereby delivering a consistent and user-friendly experience for mobile users.

A pivotal addition was the incorporation of a progress tracker that visually mapped the user's journey from item selection to the final purchase phase. This addition empowered users to keep track of their progress and anticipate forthcoming steps.

To instill trust and confidence in users, I prominently integrated customer reviews and ratings on the page. This strategic integration facilitated well-informed purchase decisions, nurturing a sense of reliability.

Through the infusion of personalization elements, I offered users tailored suggestions for complementary items or special deals prior to checkout. This not only enriched the user experience but also generated additional upselling opportunities.

Collaborating closely with the technical team, I ensured that the design seamlessly translated into a cohesive online experience, maintaining a harmonious alignment between design and functionality.

Considering the paramount importance of accessibility, I approached the design with inclusivity in mind, guaranteeing that the redesigned journey catered comprehensively to all users, including those with disabilities.

My commitment to user-centric design was validated through rigorous user testing, wherein I observed firsthand how users interacted with the new design. Feedback gathered during this phase facilitated iterative adjustments based on real user insights, optimizing the design for ultimate usability.

As a result, the redesigned bag journey yielded a remarkable enhancement in user experience and a notable increase in conversion rates. The journey evolved from a mere functional process into a guided and pleasurable experience that actively encourages users to seal the deal. The strategic placement of CTAs, emphasis on personalization, and unwavering dedication to accessibility collectively contributed to the observed rise in conversion rates. This successful outcome underscores my proficiency in user-centric design, effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and data-driven decision-making.
